Admissions committees put a lot of weight on essays. This is a chance for them to see your personality, your creativity, your passion, and all the aspects of yourself that aren?t adequately measured by your test scores or grades.

By following this process you are able to find a central idea (called a ?thesis statement?) for your essay, gather the facts required to support it, and then organize the ideas in a clear and cohesive manner.
